Celebrating Fun & Success

Celebrating Success and Fun at AGS!

It has been a whirlwind of excitement here at Altamont Grade School, and we are thrilled to share some of the fantastic milestones and celebrations our students and staff have reached recently. From academic achievements to community spirit, there is so much to be proud of in our Wildcat family.

Junior High Strikes Success

Our 7th and 8th-grade students recently hit the lanes for the Grades 7-8 PBIS. To celebrate their hard work and positive behavior students enjoyed a high-energy afternoon of bowling and teamwork at Thunder Lanes. It was wonderful to see our junior high leaders enjoying a well-deserved break and showing off their competitive spirits outside the classroom!

PTO Honors Our Best and Brightest

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our PTO, which helps us recognize the heart of our school. We would like to give a huge "Wildcat Roar" to our PTO January and February Students and Teachers of the Month! These individuals go above and beyond every day to make AGS a better place. You can see the full list of honorees and photos of their celebration on the Altamont PTO Facebook Page.

March Madness PBIS Celebration

Spirit was at an all-time high for our K-4 PBIS March Madness Celebration. Our younger Wildcats were treated to a surprise visit from the ACHS Cheerleaders and our very own Wildcat Mascot, who led the crowd in cheers. The highlights of the day included:

  • The Teacher Knockout Tournament: Where students cheered on their favorite teachers in a fast-paced basketball showdown.

  • Popcorn Treats: A classic snack to enjoy while watching the festivities.

This event was a reward for our students consistently meeting their Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) goals—keep up the great work, Wildcats!
