Dear Altamont Grade School Families,
As we near the end of our first quarter, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible start we've had! Our students have shown remarkable enthusiasm for learning, and it's exciting to see the growth. This success is a testament to the hard work of our dedicated staff, the commitment of our families, and the amazing spirit of our students.
The Importance of Attendance
As we move into the next quarter, I want to remind everyone about the critical importance of consistent school attendance. Every day of learning counts! Regular attendance is crucial for your child's academic success and social development. When students are in school, they can fully participate in classroom activities, build strong relationships with their peers and teachers, and stay on track with their learning. Absences can lead to a student falling behind, and it can be difficult to catch up on missed lessons and assignments. If your child is sick, please remember to notify the school office. Let's work together to make sure every student is present and ready to learn each day.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Our fall parent-teacher conferences are just around the corner, and I encourage all of you to attend. These conferences are a fantastic opportunity to discuss your child's progress, celebrate their strengths, and collaborate with their teachers to ensure a successful school year. This is a partnership, and your input is invaluable.
Please mark your calendars for October 22nd and October 23rd. We'll be sending out information soon on how to sign up for a conference time with your child's teacher. We look forward to seeing you there!
Thank you for your continued support and for being such a vital part of our school community.
Sincerely,
Mr. Biggs
Principal, AGS
